Our Academy is popular, successful and committed to caring for and meeting the needs of all students.  We are privileged to lead a dedicated, talented and experienced staff team who work closely with each student to develop their skills, talents and abilities to the full, thereby ensuring they achieve their full potential.

Wakefield City Academy has acquired a number of specialisms which include: Specialist Maths and Computing College, Leading Edge Lead School, High Performing Specialist School, Consultant School for the Schools Network and the Inspirational Schools Partnership Programme.

Central to our high levels of achievement are a positive ethos, good behaviour, hard work, high rates of student participation and high expectations.  We seek to promote a genuine partnership between home and the Academy, based on mutual trust and respect, underpinned by an open-door policy, where parents are always welcome.
