Room 97

Our year 11 students are in the final process of completing a two year programme with Room 97 and on the 2nd November all the girls were involved in a competition.  The design brief for the competition was to produce a mood board centred around Halloween.  This had to include various colours, make-up ideas, materials they would use, and above all the hair style itself.  The girls worked really hard over a period of several weeks both in the academy and in their own time. They bought items they would be using in their final style such as ribbons, rubber worms and spiders, some of which looked very realistic!

Judging took place at Room 97 where the girls had to present their style to the owner and director Marcello Moccia along with one of his stylists and Katie Batty a colleague in our academy.

The winner of the competition was Aliya Boston who received a certificate along with a goody bag of some wonderful hair and beauty products.  Aliya’s design was so intricate and was a worthy winner.
